Dr. Brett Snowden is a native of Springfield, Massachusetts, and the proud pastor of the historic Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Inc., in Tampa, Florida. 

 

A proven pastor, educator, and denominational leader, Dr. Snowden is committed to Christ-centered ministry that transforms lives through an anointed gospel message rooted in liberation, empowerment, deliverance, and social justice. His leadership has guided many to Christ, strengthened congregations, and cultivated ministries that address the holistic needs of mind, body, and soul. He is known for developing strong leadership teams, implementing effective administrative systems, and sustaining ministries marked by accountability and excellence. 

 

Dr. Snowden is a graduate of American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. He continued his theological training at Hartford Seminary, receiving a Master of Arts in Religious Studies and later the Doctor of Ministry degree in Congregational Studies. He has also been awarded the Doctor of Divinity degree. A faithful steward of his gifts, Dr. Snowden serves as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, and has previously taught at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Boston, MA), the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, MA), and Hartford Seminary (Hartford, CT). 

 

His commitment to global Christian education is reflected in his extensive denominational service. Dr. Snowden serves as Dean of the Congress of Christian Education for the Florida General Baptist Convention, Inc., and formerly as Associate Dean of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education. His leadership includes service as State Congress President and State Director of Christian Education for the United Baptist Convention of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, Inc.; State Director for the Faith-Based Development Initiative of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.; and religious editor and contributor for the Springfield community newspaper Point of View. His scholarly influence extends through numerous articles and essays in Christian publications, including his seminary address featured in The African American Pulpit published by Judson Press. 

 

Dr. Snowden is an active member of the Gulf Coast Baptist Association, the Florida General Baptist Convention, Inc., and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. 

Equally devoted to his family, Dr. Snowden is married to Ambrozine M. Snowden. Together, they are the proud parents of four adult children and the joyful grandparents of three granddaughters.
